Bluetooth USB Dongle not powering up

By ParvusLacertus ·
Hi! I have a "Privileg" USB Bluetooth Dongle that I have no manual or troubleshoot guide for. I use it with Toshiba Bluetooth suite to connect a wireless mouse to a laptop. After restarting said laptop however, the bluetooth dongle starts flashing solid red and the bluetooth suite says there is no adapter connected. After dozens of unpluggings/pluggings the dongle stops flashing red and works okay. Any suggestions as to what the reason for this may be and how to remedy it?

Does the dongle work on any other machine?

Can you test it on another computer? Also, do any other USB devices operate properly when connected to the USB port? Test those things, it should give you an idea as to whether it is the dongle or the USB port that is going bad. You may be able to locate updated drivers for the USB ports on your Toshiba as well which may fix these annoyances.
