The little red X means that the picture could not be downloaded or viewed.
1) This is sometime due to a slow connection or slow website.
2) Your browser may need reinstalling

3) The Show Pictures check box is not selected or
You recently installed a graphics program that changed the file associations
for .jpg, .gif, and other image file types.

4) Norton AntiVirus or Norton Internet Security from Symantec Corporation is
installed on the computer. -and-
The Nisdrv.vxd file is damaged.(This file is a component of the Symantec
programs.)

The question; does it happen in ALL pages or just some?

Could be your "security" settings in Internet options is set to high not allowing unassigned active X controls to be downloaded.

Hi,
You may try looking at your settings. With IE 6
running on the top tool bar click on tools then
on internet options then on the advanced tab.
scroll down to the multimedia section and see
that the show pictures check box is checked. I'm
not sure this is your problem, But I'd have a
look there first.
Regards, Gil

For crying out loud.

The location on the internet that the picture is living on is not avaible at the time you tried to view it or the link to it is wrong.

Don't reinstall your browser. Don't go messing with your settings.

If it was a video clip it might be different.

Good Luck Lee
