BSOD on WINNT with Pc-anywhere 10.x

By harold.smit ·
Dear Members,

We have the following problem: In our Corporate network witch contains NT4 workstations and NT4 servers with SP5 and the Dutch version of windows.
For remote support we installed on all workstations: PC-anywhere 10.x
On our headquarters section we also installed SMS 2.0 with SP4.
We do not use SMS 2.0 for our remote support, (only for hard-software inventories and file distribution)
Sinds September 1, a lot of blue screens start to appear, it is not a total crash, the most blue screen errors look like:
0x00000000a(0xc02b53bc,0x00000002,0x00000000,0x8012a556)
irql-not-less-or-equal*** address 8012a556has base at 80100000-ntoskrnl.exe
cpuid: genuine intel6.8.airql:1f sysver0xs00000565
or
0x0000050 (0xff33f000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONE_PAGE_AREA
CPUID: Genuine Intel 6.7.3 irql: 1f sysver 0xf0000565
We can resolve the BSOD's but not the source of the problem.
Hardware contains: PIII with 815E chipset and 256 MB.

What is the problem here?????

You can try a update to the IE will the latest and greatest. Sounds like the pc anywhere

You can start here at this shortened symantec page
http://tinyurl.com/1qo8
Another problem I have seen was having pcanywhere on the same network as that running SMS. you can do a search on symantec site for that as well.
Good luck!
