Scan your system with AdAware or HiJack This for malware. You also will want to investigate for viruses and worms.

Symantec and Eudora can generate this error message and the fix for those can be found here:

Symantec

Eudora:

I ahve also seen this error often caused by the malware toolbars.

2 solutions that have been said to fix this are either Webroot's SpySweeper (just use the trial version):

http://www.download.com/Webroot-Spy-Sweeper/3000-8022-10301356.html

or Spybot Search and Destroy (it's free):

I like Spybot myself. Download it, update it and run it. The problem you are having appears to be common as of late.

Cheers.

DITO!!!

HI THERE,
RE: MS VISUAL C++ RUNTIME LIBRARY
Program:C:\WINDOWS\EXPORE.EXE
A Buffer overrun had been detected which
has corrupted the program's internal state.
The program can not safely continue execution
& must now be terminated.

I have tried a range of things from deleting programs such as tool bars, spyware, latest programs i'd downloaded & installed and back to reinstalling spybot and running it and avg professional. All of wich i have had NO joy in getting rid of this bloody annoying message, which is almost driving me to reformating my computer, which is the only thing i haven't done as yet.If i have to reformat it's a 2-3 day job to set back up again.
IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE with a solution, I have also contacted and spoken to a 2nd level tech at microsoft re this problem, I thought he had manage to fix it, when it reappeared 10 min' after i had hung up from him...& we all know what a drama it is to get a hold of a 2 level MS tech by phone!
I eagerly await a solution.
Thanks
Wingie
