"Bullpen" for multiple users

By danwelty ·
I'm setting up a small real estate office for a client. She wants a Windows 2000 PC that several users will log onto/off several times a day. Can I set "default" desktop icons, printers and document folders so that all users see the same items?

you could set up the default users profile change the NTUSER.dat to NTUSER.man making the profile mandatory. then you can copy this profile to any current users profile.

After setting up all programs as admin you can go to Documents and settings under local disk C: and open up all the users to startmenu/programs. now you can drag and drop any and all programs from admin(or allusers) into the programs folder for eachuser. USE COPY, (by right clicking on the folders) dont MOVE the files. Play around with these and see what works for you, dont forget to NOT give each user admin privileges, otherwise they can move the programs back. Caveat, if the box has been upgraded from nt then the programs folders are usually under winnt/profiles. If you need help doing this let us know...........
