Does anyone have a problem with Campus Management Software aka: CLASS getting (error reading file). If so is there a fix? Any help would be great!

If you are talking about the software by Campus Management Corporation, you might try going to their support page and search for your particular error. You'll need to have your customer code and pin number.

Generally speaking, however, an "error reading file" message can occur for a variety of reasons, depending on the application and the particular file in question.

If it's a program file, the file could have become corrupt. Replacing the file or reinstalling the software could resolve the issue.

If it's a data file, it too could have become corrupt. It's also possible that the disk from which it's attempting to read is full. Many data files require available disk space that's equal to or greater than the size of the file you're trying to open.

It could be a network issue. If you're attempting to read a file over a network connection that is no longer defined as the file (or program) expects.

It could be caused by a programming script problem.

It could be a "segmented" file - that is a file that is backed up over multiple media sources (several floppy disks, for example), and you're attempting to read the file out of sequence.

Perhaps I've providedenough to help. If you'd like, email me with more specific information.

Good luck,

Maxwell

In reference to my initial answer, could you post a comment on the questions I had asked and what it was that I was missing? Could you be a bit more specific?
