Can an Iscsi storage be used as a gateway license server?
LockedHi, my company has just rolled out the new tally erp9 release 5 with the synchronization feature and there are 9 remotes branches and they all need to be connected to the same tally erp from the head office. The tally server has the licence key and all the computers in the head office can fetch the license for activation because they are all in the same domain and network. The other remote branches were not using the same tally erp as the one in the head office so there was no need to connect the data from there to the head office. The remote branches connect to the head office using a different isp and when we tried to use ssl vpn to connect and activate tally it did not work and kept warning that the gateway server is not on the same network and hence cannot activate . We do not want to change the network to be the same so i came across iscsi storage and i have not quit understood it but given the situation i am in do you think it ca help? Can it be used for such purposes?
