i have a question to all of you how can i reformat my computer if i dont have a windows xp disk?????

If you don't have a XP disk, what do you intend to do after you wipe the disk? You're going to effectively render your box a paperweight.

Well it depends on what your computer actually is

There may be a Recovery Partition on the HDD which you can use to make a Install Disc or reload the system from.

If you don't have that you will need to contact the Computer Maker and get them to send you a Install Disc if it is a Off the Shelf System like HP, Dell or so on. However if it is a White Box you'll need to buy a new XP install Disc. Or install a different type of OS like Linux or BSD.

You can not re-format your computer. Hard drive, yes. You will still need a boot disk and and a Windows Installation CD. You may need an app named "KillDisk" as WinXP is sometimes unforgiving as to re-install on the same hard drive. Don't forget to partition you drive.

You can burn a Linux-stand-alone cd and you can reformat your computer from Linux setup. Got it?
