By sanwardak ·
I have installed EXSI 5.1and server 2008 standard and I am access through vspher client, I added usb controller to the server and it installed but still the usb is not showing. Do you have any idea, if I need to install any software via gpo how should I put the installation files on the server. I am using vmware workstation 9.

Only a limited number of USB devices work for USB passthrough on VMware

USB passthru drives must be FAT32 or ext32 format, not NTFS

What USB device are you trying to use?

USB 3.0 does not work, are you using USB 2.0??
