CANNOT OPEN C DRIVE

By ngrech ·
Hi I recently had a problem getting into my C drive. Whenever I click on the folder I get an error message cannot open drive, cannot locate file:

RECYCLER\S-2-6-87-100014936-100017872-100030370-4232.com

Whenever I turn my computer on my firewall is now always off & it is playing havock with my internet? I've ran virus scans without success. Any suggestions?

CANNOT OPEN C DRIVE

To open the drive and backup your files asap, Try to right click your c drive icon, locate explore or open. Another way is to type "C:" in the address bar of any of your opened window then hit enter. You should be able to open your drive then backup your files immediately. I don't know what exactly causes it but backing up must be your first step.

it's registry entry. The ".com" does not belong on the end. Perhaps a fake "recycler" has been introduced by malware, but has been deleted, and Windows thinks it needs this.

Try scanning your system with some other anti-malware apps.
