i have setup win2k with network-card 1 for cablemodem. systemadministrator is activated(PLUS GUEST , PLUS OWNER). after exchanging networkcard(i wanted to use on other pc) i cannot enter internetoptions. systemadministrator is needed. i do not knowhow to unlock this. i have set a path. but its so complicated, not easy to understand, even using instruction book win2k prof. thanks. its urgent

sounds like your not logging onto the local computer with the administrator’s account. To check the users accounts, in the control panel, click on the Users and passwords Icon. You’ll see a list of users and the group they belong to. Use the Administrator account to log on locally and that will allow you to change the internet options in IE.

unwanted this complicated procedure was activated. see my message. “activation” of this trouble was changing network card. how can i get rid if this complicated procedure? deleting this account. i thought this could be wise for later procedures making changes with the help of msconfig-tool. thanks a lot
