Can't create ISP account on WIN2K

By taoist ·
I have a dual boot system Win98SE & WIn2K. Just recently my WIN2K ISP account failed. Try making new connection, no go. I have disabled firewall, Antivirus. I have uninstalled and reinstalled dial up networking. NO go. Tried creating different user no go. I am the administrator so I have the rights. Could it be some security setting or services that went awry? ISP on Win 98SE works fine. Modem diagnostics (device Mngr) says modem is ok even querys ok.
HELP!

Can't create ISP account on WIN2K

by R. A. Caluste In reply to Can't create ISP account ...

Have you tried reconfiguring your Dialup connection such as gateway, dns, etc. I am not sure what you mean by the word failed. What exactly is the error message? Is it a bad password, are you getting disconnected. Kindly supply additional info.

Can't create ISP account on WIN2K

Error Message: ! Cannot greate a new dial-up networking connection for your ISP. Try creating a connection by double clicking dial up networking in My Computer.

I hope this helps.
