can't keep from scrolling off screen

By twuf ·
I am learning security. I use a XP based computer. If i run 'netstat' at command prompt, it displays so quickly i cannot read screen fast enough to see what it says. I hit enter - Alt - Print Screen to capture it (as quickly as i can) and i paste into Word to read it. But it is so fast it doesnt capture everything. How can i keep the screen from scrolling off so fast? Is there a setting in Windows? Isn't it supposed to stay on the desktop and not close? I also downloaded a program called 'fport' that does the same thing. I think something fishy is going on on my computer (possibly been hacked) and i cant diagnose it because i cant capture screen. Is there a command line that i can run to capture screen output to a text file? when i try something like c:\fport > c:\fport.txt nothing happens. Any Suggestions?

I noticed in the TR download center that they have a utility to provide a GUI interface for netstat.

Perhaps that will help you.
