Can't see partitions after XP reload

By wadethornhill ·
I have a 250G HD, which I have partitioned into 5 x 50G partitions. the first partition "C" I use as my Boot drive. I had a virus, therefore the only way to resolve my problem was to format C and re-install XP. Now I can't see two of the original partitions. Using Disk Manager, the space for these two partitions is showing as Free Space. I have some data on these drives I really don't want to loose.

Any suggestions???

Did you reformat only the C: partition?
And were any of the missing partitions originally formatted using NTFS?

Got them back

after a couple of reboots, they finally appeared. It will remain a mystery I guess. Yes, to answer your question, I did only format "C" and all partitions were NTFS. I could originally see the C drive plus two other partitions. I see all 5 now. Tks for taking the time to respond.
