CD Rom drive not accessible

I am unable to use my E drive (CD). Error message says it is not accessible. Also something about disk utility locked came up once. My computer is not a brand name. Thanks for any help.

Go to your control panel click on system click on hardware click on device manager click on dvd/cd rom drivers,pick prop.then click update driver,and reboot.

Try upgrading the firmware in your drive. Upgarded firmware should be available from the manufacturers website. Otherwise I would get a new drive
