Cell phone Bluetooth Hacks

By Betageek52 ·
I was thinking about topics today, and came across a disturbing subject. Do we need to keep our bluetooth connection on all the time, and how can we stop this from happening. It's a shocking state of affairs when you can't even use the features on your shiny new phone, without some wiseguys using it against you. WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE.

How much do you think this affect business usage

Any thoughts, people?

You don't use it 100% of the time

So don't switch it on 100% of the time.

If you're sat at home using bluetooth I don't think you're much at risk. If you're in a bar or other public place, it's not very secure. As with most things, just be aware of your surroundings.

bluetooth disable file/data transfers at the hardware level... So if your using a verizon phone your pretty much safe.

I don't think this will affect business usage in any shape or form. This form of attacks have been known for more than a couple years, just add a passwd to your phone and you will be fine.
