Is there a utility that will change a particular services password on multiple servers??? ie When we change the backup user objects password we would like it to automatically change on all our servers.

The only commercial util that I've seen to handle this is Lieberman & Associates NT Service Account Manager. You can download a trial from www.lanicu.com. Another alternative is possibly writing a batch file using the SC.EXE util out of the resourcekit with the syntax of SC \\Servername CONFIG password=<password>. Of course, you need admin rights to do this.

when you change passwords on PDC the BDC will be udated. I only have a PDC and a BDC.

Save the names of all NT Servers in a file and then use "For" command along with sc resource kit utility.

for /f "tokens=1" %a in (filename) do
sc \\%a config password=

Hope you will find it useful.

Another Admin utility would be Hyena:

www.adkins-resource.com

Excellent utility to admin local and remote, domain controllers, as well as workstations.

I've been using it for years.
