    Cisco Router and Switch question

    Locked

    by tecaprio ·

We have a Cisco 800 series router and a Cisco switch. Two days ago are ISP replaced our modem and sence then none of the computers can get on the internet. I remember that if you shut down a Cisco router the ports close, is there something else that needs to be changed? Does something need to be changed on WAN port as well?

Does your 800 ping the IPS router?
Does your ISP still have the same DNS settings?
Is the port between your ISP router and your 800 up on layer 1 and 2?
Has the IP adresse of your ISP router changed in any way? If so, have you adjusted your default gateway/routes to reflect that change?

        New modem, same ISP

I can’t get into the router yet. I am waiting on our vendor to give me the logon credientials.
Yes the modem was replaced this morning (same ISP). What is the command line to change the default gateway/routes to reflect that change? Also, I cannot remember the command line to open the ports up on the router?
        Thank you!!!
