Closing Windows

By pdelucia ·
I'm having trouble closing out of window files...each and every time I hit
the "close window" icon (or close under "file"), a box comes up entitled
"Microsoft Visual Basic". It contains a yellow triangle with an
exclamation point in it and reads "Compile error. Expected End Sub." I
hit OK and the screen goes blank. When I close the window again, the
"Microsoft Visual Basic" window appears again with the message "This
command will stop the debugger". I hit OK and thescreen goes blank and
then I can close the window.
Any ideas on what might be causing this, and how I can correct it?
Thanks.

Sounds like you may have unchecked the 'disable script debugging' in you Internet Explorer. To find this go to [Start][Settings][Control Panel], then click on 'Internet Options', then click on the 'Advanced' tab, make sure the 4th line under browsing, 'Disable script debugging' is checked. Also, you may want to uncheck 'Show friendly HTTP error messages' and 'Display a notification about every script error'. Also, in the same window go to the 'General' tab and under Temporary Internet files click the Delete Files (one of these may be corrupt), and under History, click 'Clear History' (same reason). Hope this helps!
