Cluster services for Windows 2000

You can install the application such as Exchange Enterprise in each node of the cluster and the data will be stored in the external shared storage device. If you are using NSI's GeoCluster together with W2K Cluster, you are installing the application in each node without the shared external storage device and you can put one node as 40-km away from another node in the cluster.

Hope this information is helpful.

In advanced server, you install the application to each server, and the shared data area on the cluster (shared media). If the app has no data files, then you can install it directly to the cluster.

The design of the cluster installation should always be considered before installing the software.
