Compaq mini 110C-11000X

I have a Compaq mini 110C-11000X and when I turn it on it is saying the CMOS setting is wrong then asks for a password. How can i resolve this?

Enter your password then check the BIOS settings.

Sometimes a weak BIOS battery will not save BIOS settings, so you'll have to enter your password then check the settings, for ease of use, try using default settings. If you do not know the password, then contact HP support for your particular model. You might want to test the battery, but to do this you'll need to disassemble your netbook to access internals.

Thanks. I think I have a weak battery, so will have to disassemble.

Alternatively if you set the password enter it go into the BIOS and correct the errors. Most likely to be Date & Time then save the changes as you exit the BIOS.

Well then the password is incorrect

Remember that these are Case Sensitive so you need to have Capitals where you previously had capitals and so on.
