    Compatibility issues

    I’m building my own desktop for the first time.
    I’m planning on getting a GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard, with an AMD FX-6300 FX-Series Six-Core Processor Edition, Black AM3.
    Will this processor run properly with this motherboard?
    if not, can you suggest a different motherboard?

      Can’t say at the moment as the Gigabyte Web Site is down

      When it comes back up look at the supported CPU List for this M’Board. 😉

      You’ll also need the Revision Number as there is more than 1 M’Board of this model.

        Well according to the Gigabyte Web Site this AMD 6300 is a suitable CPU

        AMD FX-6300 3500MHz 1MBx6 8MB Vishera 32nm C0 95W 5200 FB

        So in relation to your question of [i]Will this processor run properly with this motherboard?[/i]

        The answer is Yes it will. 😉
