Computer Frezzes with blue Light ISP

I am running a USBG ported computer (no parallel or serial ports), and Using win 98 SE.

Every time I install and use Blue Light for ISP. the computer freezes.

Any recommendations?

Make sure you don't have any programs running in the background. Often if your system resources drop below 75% your internet connection will start acting squirrely, especially if you have a winmodem. To see what programs are set to run in the background. Click, start > run > type in msconfig. On the tab on the far right take a look at the list . All the items with checkmarks next to them are programs loading at startup. The only essential ones you need are Systray, and Scanreg. All the other ones are etraneous programs that developers throw in their software to make it take over your computer. For instance, do you really want Realplayer running in the background if your not using it? Take the checkmarks out of all but systray and msconfig,hit ok and restart. Try Blue Light again . 80% of the time that does the trick.
