Connecting 2 networks in the office

By togo9 ·
I have two networks in an office that do differeent jobs , one is a lan via isp with internet connection while the other is via a router (cisco) and phone line while the other is via a wireless system , now the network that is configured via the router then a hub does not have internet connection while i would like to link the two so that i use the isp getway , how do i go about it, do i run a cable from one of the hubs to individual computers then add a nic card in the computers that is they will have two nic that is an extra cost or run a crossover cable from one hub to the other hub and create additional getway or what do i do , I am stack what do i do , i would be glad to receive assistance.

Connecting 2 networks in the office

by daimon In reply to Connecting 2 networks in ...

Couldn't you using one of your hubs set the little button on the back that changes port #1 to an uplink, ie it makes it suitable to connect 2 hubs together via a standard cable. Without seeing a full layout I wouldn't be able to make any more recommendations.

Your description however makes it look like 3 networks, one using lan to ISP, one using a phoneline + cisco router, and one using a wireless system. Could you clarify this a little more?

What sort of network hubs are you using ? (number of ports/make/model)
What sort of network are you running and what are they running the same OSes on both networks?
