Last bit first, as the ISP is the easiest bit. b asically, most of the ISPs out there are pretty much of a muchness (i.e. not a lot to choose between them). Things to look for are local dial-in points (POP - Point of presence) - this will keep your phone bills down. Next is whether the ISP charges you for the service. If you only want to access the Internet and aren't worried about having XMb free webspace etc., then go for one of the free ISPs - which one depends on where you are.

Now for the connection part. As you have specified analog phone lines, there are a couple of options available to you, which one you choose really depends on how you intend to use the access (eg, do they all need access at the same time, do you have threephone lines available etc.), and whether or not they are 3 standalones or in a network configuration.

The first option (and only one if the machines must remain standalone) is to put a modem on each machine, and connect each one to the phone lines, each with their own ISP account for access.

The second, more complicated option, is to connect the machines in a network, put a modem on one machine and use Internet Connection Sharing to access the Internet. ICS is only available in Win98 Second Edition or above, so if you are on 95, or 98 1st edition, you will need to upgrade. ICS will allow th main machine to connect to the Internet, and then the other machines use the first as a 'router' to connect through. To do this you will need to obtain network cards, cabling, a small hub (very inexpensive), one modem, Win98 2nd edition or later; and then setup the network using TCP/IP (you can set it up as a workgroup, that way you don't need to worry about getting server software and extra machines etc)

HTH
