Control programs in Startup folder

By Lance at SCS ·
In NT4.0 SP6, how can I control the startup of programs in the startup folder? I have an application that starts before all DLLs are registered and causes errors.

Assuming you don?t want to hold down the left shift key after logging-in to bypass all programs in all startup folders, try this:

* right click on the start button.
* select open all users (this opens the common folder for the start menu for all users)
* open the programs folder
* open the startup folder
* if the program is not there then?
* right click on the start button
* select open (this opens the folders for the start menu for the current profile)
* again open programs\startup
* if the program is not there, then is it being loaded up by the registry

Let me know if you need some of the registry locations.

The program is in the folder. The problem is that it call a data acqusition program before all the DLL are loaded. This only happens when the computer is logging on to a network. I would like to be able to delay all the programs in the start menu if possible.
