Copy and Paste

By supz ·
My clipboard sometimes just stops working.
I play a game which takes up the whole screen, and when playing I almost never can full copy a string of text and paste it. It will either paste a portion of it, or nothing at all.
This also seems to happen a few times while I am copy and pasting in other programs, such as IE, wordpad, AIM etc.
Rebooting helps fix the problem, but only for a few copy and pastes, and then it starts over again.
I've done research on the problem, but nothing seems to work.
I've been told I may have Clipboard-Buddy like programs, but I haven't found anything.
I'm also thinking "rdpclip.exe" may have a part in this.
Thanks in advance...

It would be helpful to know more about the computer that you are using. It sounds as if you are running out of resources when you are trying to do a copy and paste. If you don't have enough available ram and hdd space, it will give you the symptoms that you are describing. The reboot clears the memory, so that it will work until available resources are again exhausted. You might try scanning for and removing any virus and spyware that are running on your computer. They can eat up alot of system resources without your knowledge. Post a run down of your machine so that I know better what you are working with,

355mhz Intel Celeron (Which, for some reason, now reads as a 400 mhz since I got XP)
160 megs of RAM
5.9 Gig HardDrive (With 400 megs space available)
Nothing else too special...

I've done research, and I see it may have to do with the ClipBoard program itself. Apparently if you have an addon to it, it may cause problems, but I have no clue how to check for add ons...
