Sorry, but we don't engage in "cracking" or piracy here

by Why Me Worry? In reply to Copy Cd

This is not the place to ask such stupid questions about engaging in illegal activity, nor should you expect anyone here on TR to assist you.

Especially for someone publicly asking how to "crack" a DVD.

As if it's not bad enough that the "All" Discussions list is really only "Some," or the the "Discussions" listings are actually an admixture of Discussions and "Questions," over two-thirds of the New "Discussions" are mis-placed "Questions."

I'm sure that I'm not the only "long timer" here giving TR less attention than I once did.

That is extremely unfortunate for those of us who have been lurking here for years and sucking up all the great info that you long-timers have to offer! I, for one, have learned a lot from many of you and certainly hope that you all don't let the nits drive you away!

The touch part, that which distracts one's attention, is having to read through so much material just to find the true discussions.

The easiest way to 'crack' these cd's

by w2ktechman In reply to Copy Cd

is to throw it like a frisbee and make sure it hits something (like a wall).

Or, if you really wanna break it, this is cool too! Freeze it for several hours, then pull it from the freezer and immediately throw it in your cd or dvd drive A few seconds after it starts to spin up, it will stop noisily. Then open your drive bay (may need to do it manually) and check out the 'broken' cd.

But, how do you get it out of the damned jewel case?

Or, do you just leave it in the case and hurl the whole lot?

That's one way

But the jewel case may have the unfortunate result of protecting the CD contained inside, thus rendering the exercise useless.

My favourite way to crack a CD is to remove it from the jewel case, by fair means or foul, and place it in a standard microwave for about 90 seconds. Stand close enough (but not too close) and enjoy the light show.

Always a good time!
