Cracking voice connection

i'm using a 3 com 24 port switch for my data and a 3 com hub for my voice solution. Both are connected into different nics on my server, the data cable from my radio goes into my hub as well.... the data is fine 'cos am able to brows....the voice keeps cracking. By the way am using 2 different IPs, one for the voice and the other for data...(class A public..10.10.x.x and subnetmask 255.255.255.0),also a dns server is assigned and a default gateway. I'm using a net2phone IP phone. pls. i need help/solution on why there is no clarity on the voice....

What are you using for connection. ADSL, ISDN BRI/PRI, T-1, T-3?

NOTE: Software based VoIP is not really adequate for business use, due to latency and problems like yours.

If you want a quick and inexpensive hardware resolution, there are several low end boxes that you can have attached to a VoIP bridging center but you need to subscribe to their service.

Another route is to invest in a real VoIP solution, but that costs some money after installing multiple ISDN services and adding system amplifiers and PBX's, not to mention the couple of thousand you need to spend in installation and configuration by vendor authorized technicians.

There is probably a way to reduce the static by moving lines to isolate them, performing a field test on the cabling or scanning crosstalk on the line but you will probably not remove all noise because it is just a software soution. If they worked, companies wouldn't invest three quarters of a million dollars for more robust hardwaer solutions. I guess,in the end, you get what you pay for.
