darned reboot NT Authority

By JoeBlough ·
I have a Win2K server with SP4 that was acting fine until yesterday. Now it follows all of the signs of blaster. If not connected to the interent it runs fine. If I connect it gives the error that the NT Authority will shut down in 2 minutes. I have scanned with Mcafee, Norton, and installed the winupdate stuff. Even the removal tools say I don't have blaster. Do I maybe have the new varient they are worried about? HELP ME!!! heh

Is your system fully patched with the latest updates from MS? They all say about being open to remote access. You might want to get a good firewall to help watch for intrusions.

All patches and updates have been applied. All ports that are not needed have been closed.

goto your task manager and post all processes running... be easier to tell if you had something floating around if we seen your list.

Download stinger from nai.com and try that clean.

I had 3 calls for blaster virus and it appears the common denominator was www.start.shaw.com was there home page. I think someone hack this web page and was lauching the virus from it.
Is this possible?
