Default printer in Terminal Server

By SmoothIT ·
I am running a number of identical LANs (not connected in any way)using a Dell Poweredge server and 10 to 30 NCD Thinstar clients. The OS is NT4 Terminal Server Edition and SP5.What is the easiest way to assign the default printer for each user?(Assume a different one for each user)

Add all printers to one print server in each LAN and share them out. Your users can then add printers as they choose and select their own default.(With a little coaching from you of course)

We've tried adding the printers to the terminal serversbut found that users could never really keep a default printer. Once we started using dedicated print servers most printing problems evaporated.

I need to create an "idiot-proof" print setup. I need to assign different default printers for each user with no input or selection whatsoever from the user. All printers are mapped with NCD plus print mapping software.

there is CON2PRT in ZAK.
Call it from login script.
I believe it will work on Terminal Edition.
Though, never did that myself.
