    Deleting network files…

    Locked

    by techierob ·

Where do they go? I have deleted things off a shared common drive located on our server… Then log onto the server, check the recycle bin… Nope
Check my local recylce bin… Nope

Do these files simply disappear? This intrigues me somewhat…. Any Ideas?

They are deleted permanently… well as permanantly as Microsoft is concerned. You could always undelete.

Only files deleted from local fixed drives will appear in the recycle bin. Files deleted from the network or a removable drive will be deleted permanently.

I always thought this was the case… its strange how they can give a remote user stronger deleting permissions than a locally logged on user. Dangerous stuff :S

        Thanks for your answers 🙂
