Anybody knows what a dfs.vxd is? I know that
this is virtual device driver, but, what is
the application is it referring to!

The DFS.vxd deals with network aspects. I believe it is part of the Network Neighborhood. If you get errors on startup for this file try to remove and then reinstall your network settings, or browse trough the cabs and extract it to the windows system directory.

Yes, its part of networking, but its to do with "Distributed File System" hence the name dfs

Yes, it is the driver for the distributed file system which is a network server component that makes it easier for you to find and manage data on your network.
