DHCP again argh !!!

By mark_lt ·
After having to sort out the ealier problems with DHCp, its now working, except for the allocation of the default gateway.

DHCP has the 003 router entry and it does contain the correct IP for the gateway, but all clients get their own DHCP IP address as the default gateway, the same as how it works in RAS clients.

I have made a script to correct this at loging time but why do they not get the correct gateway ?

This sounds like a crazy problem! When you set your configuration for the 003 router entry do you do it under global configuration? Make sure it shows up under both global and scope then do a release and renew on a workstation and try that out.
Good luck!

Sounds like it's related to your first problem, of which I am ignorant...

A little clarification:
If you have scopes setup make sure the correct default gateway is is entered for each scope. Scope settings are designed to override global settings. If you set the dafaul gateway as a global setting make sure there is nothing in the scope settings which will conflict with the global settings.
