Dialup Adapter>TCP/IP binding

By kowalsdm ·
Just got a new Dell 933, with WinME for home. I can not get the Dialup to bind to TCP/IP in order to add Gateway numbers to dial into my NT server at work. When I add a second TCP/IP and go to porperties I get the 7 tabs to add the Gateway numbers. When I reboot the PC and go back to Network it blows out the second TCP/IP that I added and only the one TCP/IP is there with 3 tabs and no place to add the Gateway?

Any ideas out there?

Thank you .

Dennis

I think that you may be trying to add an additional tcp stack for an ethernet adapter. If you go into dial up networking (networking and dial up connections in ME)right mouse click on the dial up connection that you wish to add additional information to ... then click properties ... in the properties you have properties for your dial up tcp/ip settings (advanced button I believe) Try this ... should work for you.

Good Luck

You need to install them into the dial up networking protocol, not the into the TCP/IP properties.
The other thing that it may be happeinig is that the modem returns some errors and not been initialized properly. Check Modem setting.

Please close this link if it is dead. It brings down the performance capabilities of the web server and database calls. If you are still waiting for an answer.....WOW....you are patient
