I modified the registery: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersionPolicies\Explorer and I removed the Find command from the Start menu, but the F3 command still work.

You could re-assign the F3 key to another file. Create a shortcut to another file, open the shortcut's properties and assign the F3 key to it instead. Delete the shortcut and the key is effectively disabled. Hope that helps.

use policy editor in one of the 2 ways:
1.Over the network
2.go to the local machine install policy editor and open local registry and check the remove find on start menu.
for 1 you have to save it in the netlogon share of a winnt PDC with the name of config.pol it must be edited with the win9x version of policy editor, and you have to make sure that the computers are set up to logon to windows nt domain to validate their password.
