Disabled "Like Current Folder"

By Skeet Fan ·
"Like Current Folder" is grayed out on my machine. Is there a registry setting to reestablish this option?

Disabled "Like Current Folder"

While this response was not the resolution it did start me down a path that, in a round about way, did get me to the resolution.

The problem was that I had used the control panel, Folder Options, View Tab to try to set the "Like Current Folder" switch. When approached that way there is no "Current Folder" and, therefore, the option is not available.

The resoluttion is to approach via Windows Explorer by opening a folder with desired settings and then using "Tools" drop down and selecting "Folder Options" and "View" tab. This approach makes the "Like Current Folder" button available.
