DNS error

by Johan101 In reply to DNS error

Here is your answer :

C>nslookup www.nvcl.com
Server: tech.zipnet.net
Address: 203.145.184.13

This is either your server or your DNS server .

The reason for those other IP's being the same is becuase they are hostted on the same server .
This is also known as Virtual Servers , wich is what all the mayor webhosting companys do .

Hope I solved your problem

Johan

The other part that you are trying to do, reverse lookups is not done that way.

nslookup 210.4.51.21

should be nslookup 21.51.4.210-in.addr.arpa

But it will only work if they have a reverse lookup zone.

Just another comment on reverse lookup zones.

Typically your ISP will need to either A)Host the reverse lookup zone for you, or B) delegate the reverse lookup zone to you.

And I forgot to add .dns to the request,

21.51.4.210-in.addr.arpa.dns
