Document your network

By Net Designer ·
Now, that I've build my company's network from the scratch, I need to document it: server h/w, s/w, network connections, VPNs, network procedures, backup routines, etc.
Network is not big: 10 servers, 4 sites - something like that. Would anyone recommend software that I could use to document it. Perhaps, something like editable database that I could later add to.
Thanks.

VISIO

by Chris.. In reply to Document your network

and some of the templates found here at TechRepublic. Visio rocks and you can add OBDC connections, it can do AD autodiscovery and allow for an incredible ammount of detail in the drawings (per object even) so I'd head down that track. There are some autodiscovery tools out there, look at cnet or do a goole search on network documentation tools.

AND LET US KNOW WHAT YOU FIND!!!!
