Does someone has a solution?????

By pankajbansal ·
I am using Netware client to connect to NDS tree and Windows NT domain. Whenever the my password on Netware NDS expires, I am prompted to change my password. If I do so, it changes my password ****only on Netware NDS**** not on Windows NT Domain. IfI press ctrl+alt+delete, then I change the password on both.
Any suggestions/solutions?

the current novell clients facilitate this for you. when you login to novell with a different userid or password than your nt domain one, you should receive a second login screen (to login to the domain). there is a checkbox on this screen to sync your nt and novell passwords upon a successful login. login to the domain with your old info, check the box, and on the next login the same password will work for both.

You may want to try NDS for NT, which synchronizes the passwords for you. It's pretty simple to set up, but can be a little buggy. You basically load it on the NT Server, and the server becomes an DNS object in your tree. You can then control security from NWAdmin (somewhat). This does not repace the NT SAM, but communicates with it in the background so all the users need to know is an NDS ID and password to log in.
