DON'T KNOW HOW TO TITLE THIS ONE

By danger47 ·
I recently installed windows 7 home premium upgrade and ever since doing this my dvd player doesn't work right.

Before with xp, if I put a cd or dvd into the drive a dialog box popped up and asked me what I wanted to do? example: "open files and folders".

But with windows 7 I always have to do this the long way by going to "Start">"My Computer">look for the DVD drive and then double click on it to see my files.

How can I get this to work the short way like in xp? Where did the dialog box go in windows 7 for this function?

Well, that was nice and easy. Thank you so very very much. It was so annoying to do everything the long way. I appreciate the help. :)

Hello again
I tried what you said in the control panel but it still doesn't work for me. I still have to open anything having to do with the dvd burner the long way. "Start">"My Computer">"E"DVDRW Drive". Am I doing something wrong perhaps?
