I'v downloaded the 2 iso imigees of the instalation cd's for red hat 7.2, but I can't access them. I'm a windows98se user and although I have linux 7.0 instaled on a seprit partion I hav'nt taken the time to lern to use it yet.I can see the files from windows and linux but can't access them. I burnd them onto cdr's as data cd's but no luck there ether.Do I need to change the file extentions or convert these imiges somehow in order to install the os?

You have to convert the ISO images to the full CD, not just copy the .iso files to the cd. Your CD burner software should be able to do it.

my cd software that came with my sony 16x/10x/40x cdr&w drive is caled B's recorder gold and included one paragraph of documentatin that did,nt mention converting imiges to full cd's

Download a program like Nero Burner. There should be an option that says something like 'Burn CD from CD image'
