Problems with IE

by TonyReilly In reply to Dr debugger wormer?? some ...

Have you tried running IE with no addons? This option can be found in the start menu. If it works then it is an add on that is causing it to kick you off.
Does this happen on all sites or just Facebook?

Or try another browser.

by TobiF In reply to Problems with IE

For instance Mozilla Firefox (maybe even with ad blocker and noscript add-ons) or my favorite browser Opera.

[rant] (I use Internet Explorer only for a few sites that don't work well with "normal browsers", mostly internet banking.[/rant]

Here's how

by TobiF In reply to to tony reilly IE

Open Windows' Control panel - Internet options
Go to tab "Programs" and click on "Manage add-ons".

Here you can walk through all installed add-ons to IE and disable as much as you like. Just remember what you were doing, in case you want to roll back anything. The extensions from Microsoft are probably ok.

Map based on Vista with IE8, could look slightly differently on your system.

Are you referring to Dr. Watson, the MS crash debugger?

by seanferd In reply to Dr debugger wormer?? some ...

?

If so, this is not your problem. It is gathering data on the crash to report the problem to MS (let it do so).

You just made me invent a new word

I think that anti-malware programs, which are capable of finding and eliminating keyloggers, should be labeled "deburgler" :)
