You have two questions here one if you have two hard drives one is the master and one the slave by the jumpers settings on the HD,this will specify a slave drive.
If you have only one drive and you want to dual boot, create your partitions by using a third party software or using FDISK,choose the size of your partitions, install WIN98 then WIN2K,you can set up the dual boot on FAT 32,because WIN2K can recognize fat32,once the partitions are created then you will notice the drive letter changes when you click on My Computer.

The easy way to solve you problem.

Install a Hard Drive removable cage and then just insert the drive you want to boot from. It's only about $20 for the cage and all you need is an avaiable drive bay.

The hard way:

Disconnect the second hard drive and only boot from one.

Hi
Unfortunately win98 MUST be on the boot drive C:\ to work.
You have a number of options:
1. a.Save all your files including favourites and email addresses (export)to the second (slave) drive. 1.b. Make a note of all your configuration settings. (I use notepad and save it to slave). 1.c. When you are sure you have everything saved, re-boot from a win98 boot floppy and run fdisk and fdisk /mbr. Delete all the partitions on drive c:\ and reset them to dos and reformat the drive. 1.d. Installwin98 to drive c:\ 1.e. Install whatever software you need. 1.f copy or move your saved files from the slave drive to drive c:\. 1.g Install w2k on drive d:\ and all your software. 1.h. You should be able to access drive c:\ and fetch all your savedfiles to drive d:\ 1.i. Now reboot to drive c:\ and install BOOTMAJIC and set this up to default boot to whichever drive you prefer.
This is what I did, everything should work fine like this.
2. The other way which I have not tried , is to use a program to move w2k to drive d:\ and then install win98 to drive C:\.
Hope it works for you, if you have any trouble E-mail me and I will try to help

Mosh
