emachines keyboard configuration

By muchenberger ·
My emachines has a keyboard with 14 green buttons on the top, which allows a direct access to some web pages. How can I configure these buttons with my preferred web sites ? The emachines support tells me, that is possible, but they are not allowed to tell me how ! I only find out, that the program name is "kconfig.exe", but I can't find this program on the computer or on the install disk (that must be hidden ?). I use Windows 98.

One you could look up the keyboard manufacturer and see if they have instruction on how to set this up,or you can do it by trial and that is locate the web page that you want to access and then when page appears, hit the shif+green key to see if if it registers.
I have the logictech keyboard that allows me access to web sites and the key board came with a diskette that loaded the drivers.
Look at system tools to try locating the program,or try locating thru device manager.

On one of my emachines computers the default location of the utility was: C:\Program Files\Easy Keyboard\kconfig.exe. I can attach it to an email to you if you can't find yours, or the equivalent for your machine -- mine may or may not work on yourmachine. Fred
