I am trying to import a large Access(.mdb) file into SQL Server 2008, and I'm getting the messages below. Any ideas?

Work around

by abe_froman In reply to Error Importing Access fi ...

I was trying to import 3.5 million rows. After numerous failed attempts to import the file as .mdb or as .txt, I tried another approach. I took my wife's advice and split it into two .txt files of near equal size. It worked, I just combined the two tables in SSMS with a UNION ALL. NOTE: Had to use TextPad, wouldn't fit in NotePad.
