Error : Missing file MSCVP60.DLL

By Obersturnbanfuhrer ·
I have reformat 5 PCs due to missing files MSCVP60.DLL. Those PC running Windows 2000 Professional with SP3. I've updated all patches & vurnerablities available including recent Blaster & SoBig worms updates, MBoard/VGA drivers & DirectX 9. Because of this missing file, all of 3D games won't work at all. I even couldn't run directx diagnostic (dxdiag). The program crashed during the bouncing rectangle test kicks in.
I reformat 2 PCs twice, the same problem still there.
I could't afford to have this downtime.
Please help me. Thank you all.

If you know what program the missing dll was supplied by, a re-install of the application would fix your trouble. another course of action is try and find it on the net for download I found this reference to it

To let Adlwin know that it should send out e-mails directly through SMTP instead of through MAPI, two conditions must be met:
The file EVALSMTP.DLL and four Microsoft DLLs (mscvp60.dll, mscvp60d.dll, msvcrt.dll and msvcrtd.dll) must be present in the directory that also contains the ADLIB executables (these five DLLs are supplied by ADLIB).

hope this helps

I've replaced the MSCVP60.DLL file with a new one, the 3D program still fail. I've changed the 2 PCs with new Mboard & P4 (previously was an MSI Mboard & Athlon 2000+) and the OS & 3D games run back up in no time with minor drivers installations/updates. I suspected the Mboard AGP was a faulty one. Both PC couldn't run the same 3D program, with the same hardware configuration. And the remaining 3 PC with similar problem will be switched to P4 later.

I've confirmed that the Mboard AGP port was faulty. The said Mboard couldn't initiate any 3D program after I switched with several AGP card with it. And my vendor was in process of returning my money back for all 5 Mboard + processor.
