Event Viewer Problem

By chris_mcclain ·
Whne I open my event viewer everything appears to be fine. However, when I try to switch to the application log I can see how many enties there are at the top if the window but I cannot see the individual events. I have double checked to make sure I do not have any filters on. This seems to have happened out of the blue, I cannot link it to any system changes. I am running Windows 2000 Server SP on a Dell PE2400. So far this has me stumped any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated.

Does the Security and System log do the same thing?

My guess would be that the log file is corrupted and you have to clear it. Just right click on it in the event viewer and choose Clear All Events.
