Excel 97 Auto Update Cells

By atulkpatel ·
Is there a way of indentifiing when the contents of a cell has been updated even when the contents show the same results as it has. For example, say cell A1 has a figure of 100. If a user enters the same figure later in the day, how can I say the cell has been updated with a new figure even when the same figure is entered.

Use the VBA event Worksheet_Change to track if a cell has been edited. This event fires after the Worksheet has been edited.

I may have over simplified my answer. I guess a better place to start is to find out how familiar you are with VBA inside of Excel. If you can open the Visual Basic editor in Excel and check the help from within the editor for Change Event you will find documentation on what I was talking about. If you need further explination feel free to email me.
