Excel crashing

I have a user who is useing MS excel and each time she add a text to an old docuement the pc lucks up and crash and she loos all the file she working on . The PC ia P166 with 32 meg of memory

TRY UNISTALLING AND THEN REINSTALLING EXCEL, IF THAT DOESN'T WORK THAN YOU ARE PROBABLY LOOKING AT ADDING MORE MEMORY.

What version of Excel? can the old file be copied and saved to a new book?

In line with answer #2, if the file will open, then immediately save it as a new file name before editing. There may be a conflict between the version of Excel the file was created in versus the version that it is now being opened in. Also, check microsoft.com site for Office updates for your version of Microsoft office. There are many fixes and updates there.
